Racial justice and antiracism resources for Columbus Learning Center, IUPUC, Ivy Tech, Bartholomew County Public Library, Enrichment program BCSC

In August of 2020, the AAF provided a grant to purchase racial justice and anti-racism resources appropriately referenced for youth and adult learning. The recipients were: The Columbus Learning Center Library for IUPUC and Ivy Tech, the Bartholomew County Public Library System, the BCSC Middle and High schools inclusive of Hauser and the Columbus Enrichment Program.

The books selected were based on the Indiana Humanities list of researched materials. Recipients were encouraged to purchase books at Veiwpoint Bookstore. The local library has formulated book reads and discussions to facilitate the utilization of the materials acquired.

As a community we can participate in increasing awareness of the many complexities and historical frameworks of racism in our society.
