Financial literacy workshop

The importance of getting our youth financially literate cannot be underestimated. It will help to break the cycle of poverty for some and teach others how to develop generational wealth. Paths to Success, in collaboration with Centra Credit Union conducted a Financial Literacy Workshop for High School students. It included both in person and app-based learning. The objective of the workshop was to assist students in improving their understanding of money: how to get it; how to handle it; how to increase it; and what pitfalls to avoid. The AAFBC awarded three top students prize money for their bank accounts, two of which were opening an account for the first time.
